The AACD is a group of board-certified dermatologists who teach cosmetic and laser dermatology to residents. Our mission is to improve the education of dermatology residents in cosmetic and laser dermatology in order to ensure that they develop a wide range of skills and are ready to practice at a high level when they finish training; to optimize the delivery of clinical cosmetic services to patients in academic settings; to facilitate the education and professional development of cosmetic dermatology faculty at academic centers; and to educate patients regarding cosmetic procedures with unbiased, scientifically valid, accessible, and understandable content.
